Lead Based Paint Inspections/Risk Assessments |
|
Effective December 2008, remodeling contractors working on a home pre 1978 are subject to the new EPA lead safe rule. Contractors are required to give the homeowner a brochure and have them sign a sheet that they received it (both linked below) Beginning April 2010, contractors will need to be certified through an EPA authorized course to conduct work on the home. Exposing Lead can provide a lead inspection which will guide you on how best to remodel the house. If no lead based paint is found, then the remodeling job will be quicker, less costly, and less intrusive. EPA Lead; Renovation, Repair, and Painting Program |
